Daily Bible Reading:
Psalm 130, James 5, Ezekiel 40

He spoke to me:  "Son of man, look with your eyes, listen with your ears, and pay attention to everything I am going to show you, for you have been brought here so that I might show it to you.  Report everything you see to the house of Israel."  (Ezekiel 40:4)
Saying, "The Lord showed me. . ." or "The Lord said to me. . ." can be a dangerous thing.  We must be sure it is the voice of God and a vision from God.  One of the best ways to do that is to make sure what the Lord showed you or spoke to you lines up with his already revealed word.  The Bible.

But there is also a sense in which each of us are put in unique places whether at work, or home, perhaps in school or in the church.  Even in everyday life and culture where the Lord wants us to look and see; to hear his voice about what is going on around us.  As followers of Christ we need to always be paying attention to what is going on around us and keep an open eye and an open ear to what the Lord wants to show us and speak to us.  When he does, be sure to see.  Be sure to hear.
